If you are not a licensed Windows, this will, over time, leave a watermark on the desktop. This so you would still purchase a valid license. There is of course a registry tweak to remove this watermark.
Open regedit, and then navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsNTCurrentVersion SoftwareProtectionPlatformActivation
If you reach activation can click on the right side right Manual, in the Value Data window that appears you change the value 0 to 1.
Then restart the computer.
